I hope you had a wonderful Valentine’s Day! Know that I’m grateful for you and sending love your way!
Last month, James experienced the death of his uncle and his grandma on the very same day. Their deaths were completely unconnected, but it was a bit of a strange coincidence and a lot for James and his family to handle at once.
Needless to say, last month was yet another reminder of how precious life really is, and of the fact that all of us, only have this one life.
You only live once.
You only live once.
That phrase has been embedded in my mind for the past few weeks, and it’s been inspiring all of my decisions in 2016 thus far.
You only live once.
I know for me, there were years during my quarter-life crisis where I forgot that my real life was right then and there. I was waiting to be happy, waiting to travel, waiting to find my dream job, waiting for love, waiting for clarity – basically perpetually waiting to live the life I wanted.
I’ll never get that time back, and that’s a hard pill to swallow, but it taught me a lesson in seizing the day and taking action on behalf of my dreams. After all…
You only live once.
I’m telling you right now that you get to design the life you want, lovely. It’s available for the taking, and I’m living proof.
When I stopped waiting and realized I was never going to get that day, hour, month, or year back again, that’s when I started to take steps in the direction of my dreams. That’s when I started to sweat the small stuff less and see the life and business I’d always wanted start to unfold.
Before that, I was scared, worried, and wondering when my “dream life” was actually going to start. I was constantly concerned about money and what people would think.
But then I realized you only live once.
And putting all of my energy into all of that, was a total waste of my precious time on this planet.
After all, you and me both, Beth, we’re meant for big things, and we can’t afford to waste any time.
So, let me ask you…
In what ways do you want to transform your current reality?
What fears do you want to no longer allow to hold you back?
What business do you want to start?
Who do you want to serve?
When do you want to be out of the cubicle and living your dreams full-time?
What do you want to be able to say on your final day?
What do you want to have achieved?
How do you want to have shown up in the world?
What do you want your schedule to look like?
What/who do you want to stop wasting energy on?
How much money do you want to make?
Who do you want to forgive?
What do you want to stop worrying about?
What impact do you want to have?
Anything is possible, and it’s time to seize the day.
After all, you only live once, and that life is now.
