I can’t believe I’ve been running I Heart My Life for seven years now. In retrospect, this business was the best thing that could have come out of a quarter-life crisis. I went from feeling lost and unfilled to full of purpose and passion. I’m so blessed to love what I do for a living, and I never want to take that for granted.
From having the opportunity to help women around the world to being in control of how and when I work, there are countless reasons why I love running a coaching business. And I know there are so many people who have considered embarking on the journey of creating a coaching biz of their own.
“The world truly does need more coaches. There are over 3 billion people online, so there are more than enough clients to go around.” -Emily Williams
So, I wanted to share some of my favorite aspects of running my business with those of you considering taking this path. If you’re already a coach or business owner, don’t write this one off. Instead, use it as a reminder of all that we have to be grateful for in these roles we have.
Follow along as I reveal my top 10 favorite aspects of running this business. There’s way more than 10, trust me. But we’d be here all day and night if I tried to list out every single thing that I love about what I do. Listen as I discuss everything from channeling my creativity and love for writing to the biggest freedoms and rewards that come with the job. I talk about the unexpected comfort I found in connecting with like-minded entrepreneurs and explain how running my own business has opened the doors for endless opportunities for wealth (and how it can do the same for you).
Now, I don’t want to be misleading here. There are most certainly times when I’m stressed, working too much, or feeling like I don’t know what the heck I’m doing. That’s human nature (and par for the course in any industry). But that’s another reason why I wanted to record this episode. Maybe nothing is perfect, but I hope this can be a reminder for you to take time to acknowledge all that you are grateful for, especially in the moments where you’re filled with doubt, frustration, or uncertainty. Last but not least, I hope this serves as a reminder of what is possible for you, too.
So, if you are an aspiring coach or business owner, I invite you to listen for the reasons that resonate most with your desires to enter the industry. As for any veteran coaches out there, I challenge you to write a list of what you love most about what you do.
I’ve always found that a bit of gratitude goes a long way.
Lots of love,
Emily xx

“You can take something from every chapter that you’ve been living in, every chapter that you’ve experienced, and apply it to your coaching business. [Then] you can use that talent, use that trauma, use that challenge, and help people around the world.” -Emily Williams
“It really is true when they say your network is your net worth because other people have connections. Other people have clients and friends and family members who you don’t have, and the more people you can connect with and the more people you can spread your message to, the bigger your business will be, and the faster it’s going to grow. And what I’ve experienced is that people do genuinely want to help.” -Emily Williams
“When you develop the ability to sell and pair it with the right mindset and a positive way of thinking about money, you’re unstoppable.” – Emily Williams
