I’ve been patiently waiting to share this episode with you all because James and I are revealing some exciting news: we’re finally building our dream home! This will be the first home either of us has ever owned. It’s a big deal, and we’re so excited. However, that doesn’t mean the decision was necessarily easy.
“Sometimes I think when things happen with ease, it’s a sign that you’re headed in the right direction because you’re not forcing it, and you’re not making it harder than it needs to be. It’s like the doors just open for you, and it feels aligned.” -Emily Williams
Let’s face it. Decision fatigue is real. The truth is, buying or building your first home is just one of several big (and sometimes overwhelming) decisions that you might face in your life. So whether you’re buying your first home, starting your own business, changing careers– whatever that big decision is in your life– we wanted to share the process of how we moved past indecision and overwhelm to make a choice that feels right. We hope you can use our story and the realizations we had to help you move forward toward one of your dreams.
James and I have moved around quite a bit, so deciding where we would settle down was not a decision to take lightly. Follow along as we give the backstory about where we thought we wanted to live and how we came to realize it was no longer the best place for us to take root. Instead, it took me opening my mind and getting clear around my desires to allow me to realize the perfect location (you’ll have to listen to find out where).
Truthfully, we were both surprised with where we ended up buying but are confident in (and excited about) this next adventure. This was just another reminder that life is full of surprises and opportunities knock when you keep an open and abundant mind.
In this episode, we walk you through the three-day process that led us to say yes to our house, including how disappointment helped us clarify what we ultimately wanted.
So, maybe you’re facing a big decision in your life or business. Listen for our advice about making big decisions without drawing them out and why it’s important to have an open mind as you explore your desires. There’s so much trust involved in saying yes (or no), and that can be really hard when you’re not clear on your desires. So, we talk all about letting your feelings and intellect work together to guide you to the right answer for you.
We’re beyond thrilled for this next chapter and can’t wait to share the journey with you. With that said, we hope this episode can serve as a reminder that anything is possible for you in your life and business when you open your mind to possibility and let your desires pave the way.

“Sometimes I think when things happen with ease, it’s a sign that you’re headed in the right direction because you’re not forcing it, and you’re not making it harder than it needs to be. It’s like the doors just open for you, and it feels aligned.” -Emily Williams
“Who knows what the future holds? But if we’re always paying attention to those feelings and keeping ourselves in a place of drive and inspiration and setting ourselves up for success, then that’s abundant thinking.” -James Williams
