Back in 2011, I got up at 4am for the wedding of Kate Middleton and Prince William.
That morning, I wandered from my closet sized apartment down to Westminster and plopped myself right in front of the church entrance where I knew Kate would be arriving in a mere 5-6 hours ;).
I had magazines, lots of food and eventually the company of strangers to keep me occupied. To be honest though, I don’t really know how I was able to wait five hours for some action.
(I don’t even remember where I went to the bathroom since I didn’t want to get up from my seat for fear of someone taking it.)
Looking back, that seems like such an incredible (and crazy) thing to have done!
In the end, it was so worth it to be a part of that day and a part of history.
Check out some of the shots I was able to get…
The reason I’m sharing this with you today is of course because another Royal Wedding just took place this weekend, but also because this pertains to you and your success, lovely.
You see, as I said above, I don’t actually know how I did what I did. I know, it was just sitting and waiting, but I did it alone and never gave up that coveted seat, and in the end, it paid off!
It’s the same with you and your success…
I know at the beginning of my business, I was working anywhere from 80-100 hours as week. I often look back and wonder how I was able to do what I did. How did I start? Where did I get that gumption? How did I keep going through that horrible period of 54 no’s in a row?
From what I hear, motherhood is no different. Somehow you make it through the nighttime feedings, the terrible two’s and even those teenage years. You just do it.
Maybe you can relate, lovely.
Maybe right now, you’re in a period of putting yourself out there, wondering if it will be worth it, praying it works out, hoping for that success you see in your dreams.
Maybe you’re up early to work on your business before your 9-5 job and wish (just like I did) that you could have more time with your husband, friends and family.
Maybe you see a glimmer of the life you want and you question when it will be yours. When the clients will be coming in the door, the money be flowing, the team be in place? When will you no longer have to work at the kitchen table?
If that’s you, please keep going.
Keep trusting that it’s on its way.
And although it may not happen exactly as you envisioned it (after all, I had Prince William on my wall as a teen and didn’t exactly end up with him, but I didend up with my own British prince!), it’s on its way.
As Wayne Dyer says, “You have to believe it to see it.”
Believe.
Put yourself out there. Take action.
And man, oh, man, when you get the chance for that shot, take it.
You’ve got this.
Sending so much love to you today!
