Don’t Read About Celebrities. BECOME One. Here’s How…

Last week I sent you an email about time.

To recap in case you didn’t see it…

I had a breakthrough.

I realized that for those of us who claim that we don’t have enough time to do everything on our to-do list when it comes to our business and have the impact we know we’re meant for, we’re actually one of the lucky ones.

You see, not everyone feels that way about time; in fact, most people are looking to pass the time when it comes to work and their career because they haven’t found that thing that truly lights them up that they desperately want to be spending their time on.

So if you’re one of the rare ones who has found her purpose and more than anything, you want to have more hours in the day to get stuff done, shifting your mindset into gratitude will help you create a better relationship with time.

With me, lovely?

But today, let’s take this one step further because I know if you’re anything like me, that’s probably not enough for you…

Regardless of shifting your mindset and feeling that gratitude, I know you want to learn how to have more time and make the best use of what you have, right?

I hear you.

This weekend when I was getting a pedicure, I was thinking about you + time.

I was also thinking about the way I spend my time when I’m in a salon or spa.

I don’t know if this is right or wrong or whether this makes me a workaholic or not. You may judge me for this or be inspired, but it doesn’t really matter because it’s the truth.

For the past four years, every time I’ve gone to get my nails or hair done, I’ve either focused on finishing tasks for my company — emails, writing funnels, responding to clients, writing programs, working on my website — you name it, I’ve done it in a salon…

During those appointments, I’ve also gone deeper with my personal development game by reading or listening to audios.

Every single appointment, they ask me if I want a magazine, and every single time I say “No, I brought my computer” or “No, I brought my book”.

Believe me, I love People Magazine as much as the next girl, but while others are reading about celebrities, I’m becoming one.

(Not in the Real Housewives sort of way.)

I’m making money, impacting lives and changing the world.

People ask me how I’ve been able to create what I’ve created in the past few years, to go from $442 a month to 7-figures in my first 18 months – this is how: Dedication to the vision.

In calculating the amount of time I’ve spent in a salon or spa over the years, (especially those epic 3-4 hour hair appointments — you blondes can relate!), I realized just how much I’ve gotten done in terms of moving forward towards my dreams while sitting there. And how maybe, that’s not the norm and something you need to hear today, lovely.

Although I walked through that door for some sort of external transformation, the truth is that from those chairs, I’ve created a movement and transformed myself from the inside out as well.

This has nothing to do with spas — that’s just one example. Think about how you’re spending your time.

The average American adult watches 4.3 hours of TV per day (Nielsen, 2016).

Seriously?!

Again, there are shows I love to watch as well, but if you fall into that camp, let’s be real here: You have time.

Just sayin’.

So today, I hope you ask yourself this one question: Are you dedicated or dabbling?

If you’re ready to dedicate yourself to your mission and purpose, what does it look like for you? How can you more fully show up? How can you go deeper? Where can you drop the excuses? Where can you find the time?

Can’t wait to see what you’re able to achieve this week!

Picture this: It’s Christmas Day, and I’m crying on the couch. Charlotte is napping the house smells like leftovers from a big breakfast, and I’m sitting there, completely caught up in this show called Black Doves. If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s intense, emotional, and full of twists. I was hooked. By the end of the […]
