Happy Monday! The sun is shining in the UK, and it’s absolutely stunning!
The first time I came to London to visit, we had weather just like this which obviously made it much more appealing than it would have been had I arrived on a gloomy week.
Every once and awhile when James and I are along the Southbank or at the Sloane Square Farmer’s Market in Chelsea, it hits me that I live in London.
And immediately the question “How did I get here?” follows in my mind.
As you may know, my journey from Ohio to London happened during a time where nothing else seemed to make sense in my life. I had tons of aspirations and dreams, but I didn’t know what to make of them. I was confused, lost, and very unhappy.
The one thing I knew for sure though (besides the fact that I wanted to start my own business someday) was that I was meant to live in London.
In 2010, I made that happen, and I’m so grateful I did.
I can’t really tell you why I felt like I was meant to be here – it was just something I knew in my gut.
Fast-forward to today, with James (a Brit who I met online) by my side in life and in a business that we are now running together, the reason is obvious.
Back in 2010, I didn’t wait until I had all of my ducks in a row or everything figured out, I knew in my heart that I was meant to be here and didn’t see the point in waiting.
That take-charge and make decisions quickly mindset is something I’ve brought into my business as well, and is definitely one of the reasons why I’ve had such fast success and growth as a coach over the past 10 months.
So often, I see women waiting to make their dreams come true – waiting to feel 100% about a decision or waiting until the time is “perfect” to make their move.
Trust me though, clarity comes from being engaged in something – not from thinking about it.
I’ve learned to trust my gut and continually take action – not wait around.
So what’s pulling you today?
What’s calling you?
What do you know right now that you can take action on?
Whatever it is for you – a new business, a new program or offering, a move around the world – I encourage you to take steps towards it today.
Thank goodness I didn’t wait or push my dream of London aside or the dream of starting I Heart My Life; I can’t even imagine where I’d be today if I had done so.
So if you have big dreams – don’t wait for them to come true – make them happen instead by taking action and following your heart.
I believe in you!
Speak to you tomorrow, lovely.
